Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level domains remained online.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no particular rules on who can book a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost.
