Additional RAM
In case you have a resource-demanding application working on your server, you can benefit from some additional RAM. Learn how you can promptly add more RAM to your server.
The more physical memory your Virtual Private Server has, the more apps you'll be able to run all at once. Some applications require lots of RAM even if nothing else is running on the hosting server, even though they may not require high CPU speeds or plenty of disk space. In case your server runs out of memory, it will stop responding and the Internet sites and the offline programs which you host on it won't work properly, as their software components will not load since there won't be any free memory. In this light, we offer a RAM upgrade for our VPS plans, thus if you notice that your machine is close to the limit, you could take full advantage of this upgrade without upgrading the whole plan and paying for resources which you won't use. This way, you could ensure the proper performance of your scripts and stop worrying that your site visitors will see errors or won't be able to open your sites at all.
Additional RAM in VPS Servers
Additional physical memory may be added to any one of the Linux VPS servers which we offer, including the top-end ones, consequently your sites will work perfectly all of the time. The upgrade is available both on the order page and within the billing area, so you may add it anytime you require it: before your hosting server is ready - if you know your websites will require more memory, or after the machine is working - in case you notice that the standard memory is not enough for all the websites to operate correctly. In the second case, the amount of RAM you acquire will be added to the existing configuration with no action required on your end and without VPS shutdown or restart, so there will not be any downtime for your websites. The upgrade can be purchased in increments of 128 MB and you shall be able to include as much memory as you require, simply because the physical machines have enough system resources to enable the virtual servers to be upgraded considerably.
